"Mrs. Levan, Seamstress, Dies At 84
Mrs. Elsie W. Levan, 84, widow of Stephen Levan, died Wednesday at 2:15 a.m. at the home of her son, Clarence S. Levan, Indiantown, Ephrata R1, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Warwick Twp., a daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Weinhold Spangler, she formerly resided in Lititz, where she was a well-known seamstress. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rothsville.
Surviving are her son, Clarence, with whom she resided; five grandchildren; and five sisters, Sue, wife of John Miller, Ephrata; Mrs. Mazie Young, Rothsville; Mrs. Maude Garman, Manheim; Elizabeth, wife of Raymond E. Lied, Akron; and Kathryn, wife of Leon Lausch, Hackensack, N.J."
