Mrs. Dodson was a retired schoolteacher. She had taught in Iroquois County from 1929 to 1975. She was born Oct. 7, 1909, in Martinton, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Knuth Wehling. Her husband, Ralph Dodson, whom she married Oct. 4, 1930, in Preston, died April 5, 2005. She was a member of the Presbyterian faith. She enjoyed ceramics and decorating for Christmas.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Dodson of Davenport, Iowa; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
