Ozelle Weems Aylor, 68, of Kingston, died of cancer Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1991, at her home.
Mrs. Aylor moved to Kingston seven years ago from Greenville, Miss. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville. She worked for several years as a lab technician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Stoneville, Miss.
Born Nov. 17, 1922 in Forest, Miss., she was the daughter of the late E. Luther and Lucille Lovette Weems. She lived in Portsmouth, Va. for several years and moved to Petros in 1962. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Sunrise Chapter No. 364, in Petros, and also worked as a secretary for Wartburg High School before moving to Mississippi in 1972.
Her husband, Joe Willard Aylor, died Dec. 21, 1980.
Mrs. Aylor is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jozelle Aylor and Scott Ellis Porter of 144 Manhattan Ave., and Elizabeth Aylor and Steve Mitchell of Harriman; two sons and daughters-in-law, George Franklin and Patricia Jeffers Aylor of Route 7, Clinton, and Hugh Jordan and Martha Mann Aylor of Knoxville.
She is also survived by a sister, Lois Hall of Greenville; two brothers, Bob Franklin Weems of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wilbur Weems of Forest; and by seven grandchildren, Joseph Aylor of Clinton, Dustin Aylor of Knoxville, Michael Smith, Richard Smith, Jonathan Potter and Steven Mitchell, all of Oak Ridge, and Chad Mitchell of Kingston.
The funeral will be at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Billy Edmonds officiating
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the Thompson Cancer Survival Center, 1915 White Ave., Knoxville, Tenn. 37916.
