Virginia Edith Weeks Bailey, 92, of the Barlow community, died May 27, 2000, at McComb Extended Care Center.

Services were 10 a.m. today at East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, with the Rev. John Reed officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Hartman Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bailey was born March 18, 1908, in Copiah County. She was the daughter of Allison F. Weeks and Florence Beulah Fore Weeks.

She was a homemaker and a member of Rehobeth Methodist Church in Barlow. She attended and was active in East Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonzo B. Bailey; and two brothers, Allison F. Weeks and William Carey Weeks.

Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Vera Louise and Hollis T. Lang of Magnolia and Della Beulah Robinson of Nederland, Texas; two nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces and five great-nephews.

Pallbearers were Roy Lang, Allen Parnell, Snuffy Smith, Pymm West, Joey Allen and James Hucabee.
