Jean Billings
, 72, of Hutchinson, died April 7, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1927, at Topeka, the daughter of Howard and Ramona Elwell Weekes. She graduated from Highland Park High School, Topeka. A Hutchinson resident since 1960, formerly of Topeka, Leroy and Harper, she was a receptionist at the Hutchinson Recreation Center.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

On Aug. 21, 1947, she married Marlin Billings at Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Steve, Lafayette, La.; a daughter, Ramona Getz, Hutchinson; her mother, Hutchinson; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Frederick Obold presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, in care of the funeral home.

Jean Billings, 72, Hutchinson, formerly of Topeka, died Friday, April 7, 2000, at a Hutchinson hospital.

She was born September 14, 1927, in Topeka, to Howard and Ramona Elwell Weekes. She spent her early life in Topeka, where she graduated from Highland Park High School. She lived in Leroy and Harper before she moved to Hutchinson. She was a receptionist at the Hutchinson Recreation Center.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hutchinson.

She married Marlin Billings on August 24, 1927 in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Steve Billings, Lafayette, La; a daughter, Ramona Getz, Hutchinson; her mother, Ramona Weekes, Hutchinson; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home in Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson. Mrs. Billings will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
