Martha C. Bridge
Mrs. Martha C. BRIDGE, 53, 1213 Jefferson street, died at 3 p.m. Thursday in Memorial hospital in Logansport where she had been a patient one week. She had been ill one year and in serious condition one week.
Mrs. Bridge was born Sept. 6, 1923 in Franklin to Arla and Margaret PRESSER WEDDLE. Her marriage was Jan. 12, 1947 in Johnson county to Robert BRIDGE, who survives. Mrs. Bridge lived in the Rochester community 25 years, moving here from Royal Center. She was a member of the First Christian church. She was past-president of the American Legion auxiliary and a past precinct committeewoman.
Surviving with her husband are her mother, of Greenwood, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Terry (Nancy) BOYER, Indianapolis, and two sons, Stephen [BRIDGE], Indianapolis, and John [BRIDGE], of Rochester. Her father preceded in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Foster & Good funeral home. The Rev. Howard WESTERN will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday until the time of service. The family requests that memorials other than flowers be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
