She is survived her, husband Herman Henry Bemberg of Briarwood Nursing Facility, her son, Thomas Martin Bemberg and his wife, Paula, and their children, Martin and Hank of Fayetteville, daughter, Dana Bemberg Campbell and her husband, Chuck, and their children, Lydia and Thomas of Decatur, Georgia, son, Robert Lindsay Bemberg and wife, Lydia, and their children, Robert, Jr., and Philip of Little Rock, and son, Richard Herman Bemberg of Little Rock, a sister, Ann Webb Stokes of Greenville, North Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Little Rock and North Carolina.
She was preceded in death her sister, Evelyn Webb Hardison.
Lois grew up in Wilson, North Carolina and was raised in the Methodist faith. She graduated Barton College (formerly Atlantic Christian College) where she was May Queen in 1945. She taught fifth grade in Black Creek, North Carolina, and briefly taught in Arkansas before raising her children. She also worked in the office at Bemberg Iron Works for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She will be missed for her wry sense of humor and good cooking. She enjoyed bridge parties with her girlfriends. She was always a friend of the underdog.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 15, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th, Little Rock, Arkansas (501-661-9111).
