Mrs. Edward Barnett Dead
Word was received here Friday of the death of Mrs. Edward Barnett at her
home in Portland, Oregon, Thursday afternoon. The body was brought to
Lexington for burial and reached here Sunday evening. The funeral was held
Monday afternoon from the Episcopal church.
Mrs. Barnett will be remembered as Miss Ada Lamburn, a former resident of
this city. She is survived by her husband and one brother.

Ada Lamborn Barnett

Ada Lamborn Barnett, whose death was reported in last week's issue of the Intelligencer, was born in Lexington, September 4, 1872. She was educated in the city schools, and after graduating taught several years. She was married November 30 1899 to Edwin M. Barnett. In 1905 they moved from Kansas City, where they had lived since their marriage, to Tacoma, Washington. Later on they moved to Portland, Oregon. On the 29th of June she underwent an operation and died from the shock. Besides her husband,
she leaves two brothers, Frank and William Webb, a sister, Mrs. Albert Sidney Leeper. Mr. Barnett brought the body to Lexington and laid it beside her dear on in Machpelah cemetery.
