Funeral services for Mrs. Laura F. Baker, wife of T.J. Baker, who died yesterday morning after a lingering illness at the family home, will be held Saturday afternoon at the Grace Episcopal Church. Burial will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker, who was 46 years of age, returned here only a few months ago after several weeks in New Mexico for her health. She suffered a relapse soon after her return and gradually declined until her death yesterday.
She was born in Jamaica, West Indies, June 27, 1885, her maiden name being Laura Webb. She had resided in this city the past 18 years with her husband and family.
Besides her bereaved husband, who is employed at the penitentiary here, Mrs. Baker is survived by two daughters, Emily and Jessie; two brothers, H.E. and J.T. Webb; and five sisters, Iva Hendrix, Mrs. C.T. Williams, Mrs. Fred Higgin, Mrs. A.E. Collier and Minna Draper.
Mrs. Baker was held in high esteem throughout this section and her death will be deeply mourned.
