John A. Webb, age 49 of Joplin, Mo. passed away Monday August 1, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center following an illness.
John was born June 22, 1961 in Winsted, Conn. to Malcolm and Elizabeth (Carey) Webb Sr.
He has lived in the Joplin area for the last 20 years.
John worked for Evan's Tire as a tire re-caper. He was a Methodist.
John is survived by his parents, Malcolm and Elizabeth Webb, Sr.; four brothers, Malcolm Webb, Jr, Norman Webb both of Joplin, James Webb of Shawnee, Ok., Joe Webb of Cainen, Conn.; three sisters, Alice Vansilk of Joplin, Lori Avery of Torrington, Conn., and Sherry Boyd of Nevada, Mo.
He was preceded in death by one brother Jerry Webb in 2007.
John has been taken for cremation with services at a later date.

John is survived by his father and mother, Malcom E. Webb and Elizabeth Webb; his brothers, Malcom Jr., James Webb, Norman Webb and Joey Webb; three sisters, Alice Vanslick, Lori Avery and Sherry Boyd; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Allen Webb.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
A get-together will follow at 230 South St. Louis, Joplin.

Gerald A. Webb, 40, of Webb City, Mo., died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at St. Johns Medical Center.
Gerald was born June 27, 1966, in Winsted, Conn.
He was a full-time loving father, best friend and mentor and will be missed very much.
Survivors include his parents Malcolm E. and Elizabeth Ann (Carey) Webb, of Joplin; children, Gerald (and Amanda) Webb, of Joplin, Tia Webb-Irwin (and Craig), of Webb City, Sherry (and Steve) Webb, of Joplin, Candice King, of Sarcoxie, Mo., Peter A. Webb, of Torrington, Conn., and Miranda Webb, of Oklahoma; wife, Marsha (Bailey) Webb; maternal grandmother, Rose Decker, of Cannon, Conn.; five brothers, Malcolm Webb Jr., John Webb and Norman Webb, all of Joplin, James Webb, of Shawnee, Okla., and Joey Webb, of Connecticut; two sisters, Alice (and Robert) VanSlyke, of Joplin, and Laurie Avery, of Torrington; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carterville Christian Church. Rev. Roger Hasselquist will officiate.
There will be a gathering after the service at the home of the parents, 1728 S. Moffet, Joplin.
Gerald has been cremated.
