Wife of Norton Amsberry of Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa.

"Mary Elizabeth Weaver was born near Leavenworth, Indiana, January 23, 1868. Died March 24, 1922, age 54 years, 2 months and one day.
Her parents moved to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1877, then later to Custer County, near Mason City.
She was united in marriage to Norton Amsberry on August 11, 1890. To this union were born three children; Florence Jane, Myrtle Minerva and Zachey, the latter dying at the age of five.
Those who mourn her loss are her husband, two daughters; Mrs. James Rigby of Lincoln and Myrtle Amsberry of Ansley, the adopted son, Paul, four grandchildren and two brothers; R.M. Weaver of Grand Island, S.W. Weaver of Ansley and one sister, Mrs. B.L. Mack of Big Sandy, Wyoming and a host of relatives and friends.
She was converted and joined the Mason City Baptist Church in January of 1895. When the family moved to Ansley, she and her husband were charter members of the Ansley Baptist Church, which was organized August 8th, 1899 with fifteen members. There are only two members living, her husband and his sister, Mrs. H.E. Zimmerman.
The funeral services were held in the Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon and conducted by the pastor, Rev. Homer F. Smith.
The many beautiful flowers and the unusually larger crowd, many of whom were turned away from the church for lack of room, attested the high esteem in which this godly woman and her family are held in this community."
