Darrell "Sam" Weatherby, 30, of 2301 Willeys Lake Road, Custer, died Saturday in a traffic accident.

Born Oct 11, 1951, in Bellingham, he had been a lifetime resident of the Custer-Ferndale area. He previously attended the Bellingham Free Methodist Church. He was a member of ABATE motorcycle club and the National Rifle Association. He was employed in maintenance at the Atlantic Richfield refinery.

He is survived by his parents, John and Alice Weatherby, two sons, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday at Moles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Enterprise Cemetery.
