Marjorie E. (Wayne) Gouker, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Manor Care South in York. She was the wife of David F. Gouker, who entered into rest on December 18, 1996.
Born in Delta on February 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose E. (Ward) Wayne.
She retired from the former Catepillar Inc., where she did data entry for 30 years. Marjorie attended St. Paul's Chapel Church in Red Lion and loved animals, especially cats. Her family came first in her life.
Surviving are two sons, David R. Gouker and his wife, Roberta of Stockton, Calif., and Wayne A. Gouker of York; four grandchildren, Jennifer Miller of Browerville, Minn., Dominic Gouker of Peabody, Mass., Dustin Gouker of Bend, Ore., and Tyman Gouker of Stockton, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Willow, Leo, Vera, Jasper, Gloria and Delia; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 13 brother and sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Ann.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Chapel UM Church, 3050 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, will be handling the arrangements. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with her pastor, the Rev. Robert A. Vizthum, officiating.
Burial will be in Indiantown Gap Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
