MRS. W. M. BERRY DIED SUDDENLY THIS MORNING
VISITING AT THE HOME OF HER DAUGHTER, MRS. PAUL BRENNEMAN, NEAR MOORHEAD
DUE TO HEART DISEASE
Had Been In Good Health up to Time of Fatal Attack--Funeral Thursday afternoon 2:30
Mrs. Rosetta Berry, 51, wife of W. M. Berry, engineer at court house and jail died at an early hour this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Brenneman, two miles northwest of Moorland.
On last Sunday Mrs. Berry went to the home of her daughter to spend a week, and seemed to be in perfect health. Last night she and the daughter, and the daughter's baby, slept in the same bed. About 1 o'clock the babe was wakeful and "grandma" played with the child for a time. Finally all went to sleep and at 5 o'clock Mrs. Brenneman arose, leaving her mother in bed. But at 6 oclock Mrs. Brenneman thought strange that her mother was not up and went to the bed where she was shocked to find her lifeless. Her body was still warm, but the hands and face cold.
The body was brought here soon as possible, and was viewed by the coroner immediately after he was through with the fatality on the traction line. The coroner's verdict was that the death was due to heart disease.
Mrs. Berry is survived by her husband, three daughters and two sons, all being married but one son, Claude who lives at home, 598 North Twelfth street. The other children are: Ernest Berry, West New Castle, Mrs. Charles McMillen, New Castle; Mrs. Ernest Moore, Danville, Indiana, and Mrs. Brenneman, of Near Mooreland.
The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, from the First Christian church, Rev. Wilson officiating. Burial in South Mound.
