Mrs. Alice Antrim Wayland, widow of Edwin P. Wayland, a member of one of Waynesboro's oldest families and on long prominent in the life of the community, died at her home, 428 Chestnut Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
She was born in Waynesboro August 2, 1856, the daughter of Thomas Houston and Sarah Jane Templeton Antrim. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Annie A. Wayland, of Waynesboro, and a son, the Rev. John Edwin Wayland, of Malden, West Virginia; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5 o'clock from the residence with Dr. J. G. Patton, Jr., pastor of First Presbyterian Church, in charge. Burial will be in River View.
