Misty, age 30, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near McCune. She was the daughter of Jerry Eugene Jr. and Karen Sue (Michael) Waun. She graduated from Labette County High School in 1997, Labette Community College in 2006 with an associates degree, and Washburn University in 2007 with a bachelors degree. Survivors include her daughter, Kaia Waun, her parents, and her brothers, Jerry Waun, Randy Waun, and Terry Waun. Funeral services were held at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis.
