Mary Hazel Watt Waldron, 60, wife of Calvin Waldron, died in Columbia, Tenn, either Sunday or Monday, suddenly, in a hospital. She and Calvin were on a mission in the Southern states for the LDS Church. They began their mission last February.
She was born on April 2, 1887 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Richard G and Mary Anne Harris Watt. She received her early education in Layton and the family moved to Thatcher
in 1898. She graduated from Box Elder High School and USAC in Logan, Utah. She taught school in Bothwell for a number of years.
She married Calvin on January 29, 1913 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The couple lived in Morgan for five years before purchasing a farm in Thatcher.
While in Morgan she was President of the YLMIA and in Thatcher she had served as President of the YLMIA, Primary and Relief Society.
Surviving are her husband, Thatcher, Utah; and the following sons and daughters: Verl and Mable Waldron, Thatcher, Utah; Virgil C Waldron, Mrs Faye Watkins, and Mrs Arline Hunsaker, of Tremonton, Utah; Mrs Della Ure, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs Elizabeth Waite, Syracuse, Utah; also four grandchildren and one brother and six sisters: William Watt and Mrs Melvin Wood, Thatcher, Utah; Mrs Annie Westmoreland, Tremonton, Utah; Mrs Lois Coombs, Honeyville, Utah; Mrs Grace Jeppsen, Corrine, Utah; Mrs Isabell Robins and Mrs Hattie Adams, Layton, Utah.
Burial was held in the Bothwell Cemetery, Bothwell, Utah.
