June Evelyn Robison of Leesville, LA went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2012 at Byrd Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service was held at Grace Bible Church in Leesville on Monday, July 23, 2012, Pastor Larry Davis officiated.
Ms. Robison was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Edward Robison; father, Robert Allen Watt; mother, Ruth Margaret Watt; sister, Billie Birmingham; brother-in-law, James Birmingham.
She is survived by her son and his fiancÚ of Shreveport; daughter of Leesville; brother and sister-in-law of Shreveport; sister and brother-in-law of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
June Robison was born in El Paso, TX on June 20, 1928. She was a graduate of Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA. She was accepted as a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps at the Highland Sanitarium. She enrolled in the nurse college training program at Centenary College in 1945 and 1946. As a part of her training, she worked at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA.
Ms. Robison was a military wife for many years and traveled to interesting places such as Morocco in Africa and Guam. The military life taught her to make friends, be independent and an excellent organizer.
Ms. Robison was a member of Grace Bible Church in Leesville, LA. For ten years she was involved in various church activities such as teaching preschool Sunday school, children's church, cooking fried chicken, AWANAS, making welcome baskets and attending Bible study. Her favorite book of the Bible was John.
The family of June Robison would like to thank the nursing staff and therapy staff of Leesville Rehabilitation Hospital for their kindness and professionalism with Ms. June. She greatly appreciated your help.
