Delores Estella Watson Arnhart, age 80, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 23, 2007, at her daughter's home. Born in Alread, Arkansas, on March 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Marshall and Hazel (Kingsley) Watson.
Mrs. Arnhart was a homemaker and had been a resident of Quitman since 1963. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 7514 of Quitman. Mrs. Arnhart enjoyed reading, flowers, feeding birds, and taking care of her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Arnhart, Jr. on October 22, 1988. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Tolley.
Mrs. Arnhart is survived by one son, William Arnhart of Batesville; five daughters, Margret Barger, Joyce Clayton, Connie Goff, and Bobbie Pike, all of Quitman, and Sammie Armstrong of Heber Springs; one brother, William Watson, Jr. of Clinton; two sisters, Enid Hefner of Clinton, and Marie Saunders of Wrangell, Alaska; fourteen grandchildren, Edward Barger, Roger Barger, Michelle Tolley, Tom Stanford, Jerri Sneed, Lynn Cameron, Jim Cameron, Michael Cameron, Stephanie Carl, Sara Lawrence, John Arnhart, Clay Arnhart, Melinda Wortham, and David Pike; and 26 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Arnhart is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25, at Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services for Mrs. Arnhart will be held Thursday, April 26, at 2:00 p.m. in South Cross Roads Church with Rev. Kenneth Rolland, Jr., Rev. Roy Archer, and Rev. Ammon Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Crabtree Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Barger, Roger Barger, Tom Stanford, Jim Cameron, Michael Cameron, John Arnhart, Clay Arnhart, and David Pike. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
