Private graveside services for John Curtis Watson, 86, Athens are scheduled for 3:00 P. M. Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Charlie Jackson officiating.
Mr. Watson died November 25, 2012 in Athens.
He was born August 25, 1926 in Murchison to the late Charles Edward and Savanah Arizona Brown Watson.
He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County. He retired from Revere Smeltering Refinery in 1988 after a 30 year tenure. J.C. served in the United States Army during World War II with a tour in the South Pacific.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Nelson in 2001, one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include wife of 42 years, Ethalene Bostick Watson, Athens, son, Curtis Watson and wife Sheila, Athens, daughters, Diane Caughron, Alba, Judy Brown and husband Donald, Tyler, grandchildren, Curtis Watson, Charles Watson, Amanda Nack, Ashley Gonzales, Cindi Bivens , and four great grandchildren.
