He was born August 17th, 1928 in Conway County, AR a son of the late Conner Watson and Laura Brock Watson.
He was a retired Arkansas State Police Trooper with 36 years of service, serving from F Troop in Warren, he was Arkansas State Trooper of the year in 1966, he served his country in the United States Marines, he loved to coach boxing to local kids growing up in Warren through the Optimist Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing dominoes. He was also a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ.
Also preceding him in death was his wife Ruth Watson, whom he married March 28th, 1948 and she died June 30, 2005 and a sister Lorrain Plant.
Surviving is a son Don Watson and spouse Patsy, Warren, AR and a daughter Donna Ragar and spouse Jim, Bentonville, AR. 3 grandchildren Larry Watson, Tony Ragar and Trent Ragar. 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services 2:00PM Tuesday, May 19th at Frazer’s Chapel.
Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
