Daughter of Samuel E. and Elizabeth Douglass. Married Wharton B. Watson, 16 Nov 1881 in Washington, DC. After Caroline's death, Wharton was remarried to Lenoir Nelms, and they had a daughter, Corinne (1908-1979), together. Corinne married Alvin D. Hawkins.

1. Mabel P., b. 19 Aug 1882; d. Jul 1973; m. William Phillip Biedermann
2. Ralph Bertram, b. 6 Dec 1884, d. 4 Dec 1946; m. Bessie Brewer (Patton), 16 Aug 1926 in Cleveland, OH.
3. Walter Leslie, b. 16 May 1887, m. Charlotte R. Brady, 24 Jul 1908 in Boston, MA.
4. William L., b. 2 Feb 1889, d. 12 Sep 1951 in Detroit, MI; m. Alma Renaud, 2 Nov 1940.
5. Elizabeth R., b. 13 Sep 1891, d. 1957; she was developmentally disabled and lived at Rosewood State Training Institute in Baltimore.
6. [Wharton] Earl, b. 16 Mar 1896; d. 1 Jul 1918 (drowned).
