Married William A. Atchison on 1/6/1876, Clay County, Missouri. Son Allen Atchison and daughter Mary Atchison.

Plattsburg Leader, Plattsburg, Mo. 10-28-1898:
Mrs. William Atchison.
Mrs. Wm. A. Atchison of Kansas City, died Monday at Colorado Springs, where she had spent the last year and a half in hope of regaining her health. Mrs. Atchison was about 40 years old, and was a daughter of Mr. Watkins of near Lawson. Two children, Miss Mary and Allen of Nebraska, survive. She was the wife of Mr. Wm. A. Atchison, the well known member of the Commission firm of Scruggs, Hall & Co., and also as a prominent former resident of Plattsburg. The remains were brought here and interred in the family burying ground in the New Cemetery yesterday. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. at the Baptist Church by Dr. Lowery of Kansas City. Mrs. Atchison was a most excellent woman, of marked intelligence, a faithful member of the Baptist Church, and an earnest Christian. She lived in Plattsburg many years, and was widely esteemed by all who knew her, and admired her for her numerous good qualities and graces. Her devoted husband has a deep grief, and the sympathy of a community which mourns with him over a great loss. What were this life, but for the assurance that it does not terminate at death? We can't express the sorrow we feel when a dear one departs. No word of sympathy can heal--only in hope is there a balm. Shall we live and meet beyond the river? The soul says yes, and it solves the problem.
