A marriage notice appeared in the Chattanooga newspaper announcing Savannah Waters marriage to William J. Gilbert, a UT graduate who had just started a home building company. They divorced between 1930 and 1940 since Gilbert is shown in the 1940 census with a different wife and Miss Waters then married Jack Stair in 1936.

Miss Savannah Waters married Jack Stair on 14 Mar 1936. He died in April 14, 1962. A death notice in the Knoxville News Sentinel for Stair mentioned that Savannah was responsible for managing gas rationing in Knoxville during WW II. The death notice also mentioned that he was buried in Lake Worth, FL, but no findagrave entry was found.
