OSAGE - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home here for Harry A. Waters, 78. He died Friday evening at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital of a heart condition. The Rev. Paul R. Johnson will officiate and burial will be in the Clear lake Cemetery.
Born June 2, 1880, in Floyd County, he was the son of Herbert and Josephine Waters. He was married to Edith Arthur, Aug. 3, 1905. They lived in Charles City and for 20 years at Marble Rock. He retired to Osage in 1953.
Surviving are his wife, Edith; five sons: Herbert, Alta Vista; Arthur, Mason City; Merle, Charles City; Lloyd, Osage; Thomas, Beauville, Ill.; five daughters: Mrs. Thomas L. (Juanita) Burns, Clear Lake; Mrs. Harvey (Dorothy) Wells, Nashville, Tenn.; Mrs. John (Elsie) Ray, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Bernard (Edith) Naumann and Mrs. Jack (Velva) Brown, both of Mason City; 30 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mun Saddler, New Hampton.
