Parents: Claude G. and Lorena Myrtle (Patterson) Wassom. Claude was born ca 1884, Illinois; Lorena b. ca 1893, Oregon.
Letha lived in Oregon her entire life. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1934 and attended the University of Oregon, major in Journalism.
Letha spent her working years at Weber's Bakery and the Roseburg Water district. She loved the North Umpqua, where she spent a lot of her free time. Letha also loved to square dance, gardening, biking, spending the winters in Phoenix, baking pies and angle food cake.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Henbest and William Miller, daughter, Jannice Claypool, grandson, Lance Claypool, granddaughter, Jill Bryant and her two brothers and sister.
She is survived by her granddaughter, grandson, four great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
