Died: At the residence of H.W. Olmstead, 3 miles south west of Pauline, Neb., on January 24, of pneumonia, Mrs. Betsy Oatman, widow of the late Daniel Oatman. Mrs. Oatman, whose maiden name was Washburne, was born in Sandgate, Vermont, May 8th, 1808, and would have been 90 years old at her next birthday. Her husband died four years ago the 20th of last month and had passed his 90th birthday.
In their younger days they lived in central New York. From there they moved to Illinois early in the fifties, where they resided until 1881 when they came to Nebraska, making their home with their daughter, Mrs. Olmstead. She was a member of the Baptist church, having joined that society when eighteen years of age. She has always lived an exemplary and chrisitan life and was beloved by her large circle of friends and acquaintances and although "grandma" will be sadly missed from the home circle where we were so accustomed to seeing her and enjoying her pleasant company, we realize that our loss is her gain and bow in submission to the devine will.
She leaves three sons and two daughters, Mr. J.H. Oatman, of Pauline, C.E. Oatman, of LeRoy, H.K. Oatman, of Prophetstown, Ill., Mrs. H.W. Olmstead, of Pauline and Mrs. E.J. Cox, of Hastins.

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our neighbors and friends for their kind assistance and sympathy during our late bereavement in the sickness and loss by death of our dear mother.
