Services for Ada Chastain, 91, Clever, were held Jan. 2 in Clever Methodist Church with the Rev. Victor Horton officiating. Burial was in Wise Hill Cemetery under the direction of Meadors. Mrs. Chastain died Dec. 30 in Davis Nursing home, Springfield, after along illness. She was a longtime resident of the Clever community and a member of Clever Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Penny, Clever; a brother, Glenn Washam, Aurora; five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Kerr, Clever, Mrs. Alma Little, Aurora, Mrs. Dorothy Wilder and Mrs. Mattie Ferrier, both of the state of California and Mrs. Myrtle Sullivan, Columbia; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
