Alvin Warren

Memorial graveside services for Alvin "Al" WARREN, 83, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2007, at the Valley View Cemetery. Cremation had taken place. He died at Community Hospital on August 11, 2007.

Al was born September 6, 1923 in West Frankfort, IL, the son of James and Callie (QUARRLES) WARREN. He grew up and went to school in West Frankfort.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Anna Mae MCDUFFEE in Oak Park, IL on December 23, 1947. They moved to Torrington, WY in November of 1960 and in 1962, he started his own business, Warren Mobile Homes. In 1972, he and Jim GRIGGS built Goshen Mobile Estates. He retired in 1986 and moved to San Diego, CA. They returned to Torrington, WY in 1996 due to his failing eyesight.

Al enjoyed reading and listening to music and was Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks.

Al is survived by his wife, Anna Mae of Torrington, WY; five daughters, Janet COCAQNE and husband Bill of Nokomis, IL, Linda WOOD and husband Gary of Castle Rock, CO, Barbara MANSOLDO and husband Ray of Torrington, WY, Marilyn DALTON and husband Tom of Torrington, WY, and Vanessa BIERMA and husband Mike of Austin, TX; two sisters, Faye FEUQUAY and Joy MCCORMICK both of West Frankfort, IL; six grandchildren, Talon BURTON in Iraq, Lance BURTON in Afghanistan, Jody CHECK of Macomb Twp, MI, Angie MILLIGAN of Carlsbad, NM, Melissa SHEA of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Jon GULISANO of Torrington, WY; and three great grandchildren, Cody MILLIGAN, Jacob MILLIGAN and Sarah SHEA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers: Howard, James, Harley, Joe, Alfred, Ernest, Elmer and Richard (Dick) WARREN; five sisters, Lou BUSCH, Lillie WARREN, Celia MARTIN, Isabel WARREN and Frances DORRIS; a nephew, Jerry "Bear" WARREN and a niece, Karen WARREN.

Arrangements were made by the Colyer Funeral Home. Friends may send
