Shelby Jean Warren Dean, 62, passed away suddenly March 3, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. She came to this life on March 12, 1940 in Etowah County, Ala., delivered by her grandmother, Pearl D. Estes. Later she married Charles Mitchel Dean Sr., and together they raised their family. While Charles was serving his country with the Navy they traveled to many places in the United States, finally settling in Georgetown, coming from Micanopy. She was very involved with the Truck Stop Ministries for many years. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Fruitland.
She was preceded in death by her husband in August 2002.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra J. Dean, Pomona Park; sons, Charles Dean Jr., Georgetown; and Glenn W. (Christine) Dean, Deltona; brothers, Jerry Warren, Rio Rancho, N.M.; Charles Warren, Live Oak; Bill Warren, Piedmont, Ala.; sisters. Fay Dean, Cheryl Dean, Laurel Dean and Ashley Dean.
Visitation will be from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, March 7 at Clayton Frank & Biggs Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery.
