Grandson of Richard Warren of the Mayflower, Benjamin was one of the foremost citizens of Plymouth. He served at various times as constable, selectman, moderator of the town meeting and a member of many town committees. He was a representative to the General Court of Massachusetts. He was also ensign of the Plymouth military company in 1710 and chosen captain in 1716, succeeding his cousin, Captain James Warren.

Benjamin resided at Eel River. He married 1st, April 22, 1697, Hannah, daughter of Ephraim and Hannah Morton. She was born in Plymouth 1667 and died there Nov. 3, 1715.

He married 2nd, Oct. 25, 1716, Esther, daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Hedge) Barnes. Esther was the widow of Elkanah Cushman.

Benjamin, b. March 15, 1698; d. young.

Abigail, b. May 9, 1700; d. Dec. 1766. Married, 1722, Joseph Rider of Plymouth. Both interred on Burial Hill.

Hannah, b. March 1, 1704; d. after Aug. 26, 1760. Married Eleazer Faunce.

Nathaniel b. July 20, 1706 died abt. May, 1767. Married Sarah Morton.

Benjamin b. April 10, 1709, d. 1740. Married Rebecca Doty.

Priscilla b. Aug. 12, 1712; d. unmarried after Sept. 23, 1769.

Patience b. Oct. 27, 1715 d. unmarried, Nov. 27, 1789.

Children by second wife Esther:

Joseph, b. Sept. 4, 1717; probably died young.

Mercy, b. May 15, 1721; d. March 21, 1798. Married as second wife, 1762, Sylvanus Bramhall of Plymouth.
