Norma Jeanne Cochran, age 80, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, following an illness.

Norma was born on Oct. 13, 1928, in Webb City, the daughter of Frank L. Warren and Hazel M. (Breedlove) Warren.

She married Joe D. Cochran on April 22, 1948, in Webb City. He preceded her in death in March of 2000.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert "Bob" Warren.

She is survived by one son, Stephen K. Cochran and wife, Martha, of Joplin; two grandchildren, Stephanie Varner and husband, Stacy, of Carl Junction, Mo., and Clint Cochran, of Webb City; and two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Tyler Varner.

She owned and operated Norma's Beauty Salon located in Webb City for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Webb City.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Webb City in care of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home.
