In giving us another version of an old word oddity, Mrs. Anita Warp also gave an oddity how the name Warp came about.
It seems that her husband’s father, a Norwegian, came from Waerp-Platz, near Oslo, Norway. His name was John Neilson, but there were so many Neilsens, Neilsons and Nelsons in this country that he became John Neilson from Waerp and eventually it evolved into John Warp.

Paulina St. Surviving are her husband, Harold, chairman of Flex-O-Glass, Inc.; a son, Harold G.; and a brother.
