Gresham, Oregon resident, Anna Rose Warner, 82, passed away June 11, 2014, peacefully in her home. Anna Rose was born in Portland, Oregon to Hiram and Viola Eatinger, joining her older sister, Dessadean.
The family lived locally as she grew up in the Portland, Oregon area. She graduated from Gresham High School. On March 17, 1956, she married Robert H. Warner in Portland, Oregon and moved shortly thereafter to rural Gresham, Oregon where they built a home and raised their family.
She taught skiing at several Government Camp ski areas and worked at Mt. Hood Meadows ski area for over 19 years. She was a longtime employee at West Orient grade school and retired in 1994. In retirement, she volunteered many hours with Loaves and Fishes. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, skiing, gardening and, most of all, with her four grandsons. She was a member of the Greater Gresham Baptist Church in Gresham, Oregon.
Anna Rose was preceded in death by her husband in 1995. She is survived by her sons, Jim Warner of Brightwood, Oregon and Ken Warner of Gresham, Oregon; grandchildren, Tony and Blair Warner of Portland, Oregon and Kyle and Zachary Warner of Gresham, Oregon.
A service was held on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon with a committal service following in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Contributions may be made to Mt. Hood Hospice in Sandy, Oregon.
