Meriwether County

Death: Nov. 2, 1925
Harrison County
Texas, USA

Father: Henry Ware
Mother: Martha Ann Everett

Obit from the Bonham Daily Favorite
Mrs. Frances Asbury Ware Blocker died this morning at her home, corner North Franklin and West Burleson streets, after an illness of several months duration, at the advanced age of 83 years, having lived a long and useful life, loved by her children and highly respected by all of her friends and acquaintances.
Mrs. Blocker was born in Marriweather county, Ga., on September 10, 1840, and was the daughter of Henry A. and Martha Ann Ware, and when only a child she came to Texas, and on May 1st, 1860 was married to Dr. Eugene Burrosa Blocker, and the two lived happily together until about a year ago when the Grim Reaper came and took from her her husband who had walked with her through life's rugged path, and now the remorseless hand of death has come to take her from our midst.
Mrs. Blocker was a loving wife and mother and a good neighbor and her death has made a vacant chair in the home that will always be empty, but will hold for her children many kind thoughts of Mother.
Mrs. Blocker is survived by eight children, Eugene R. Blocker, Honey Grove; J.H. Blocker, Dallas; Mrs. C.C. Diball, New Orleans; Mrs. J.L. Ware, Bonham; Mrs. J.I. Carter, Marshall; John W. Blocker, Fort Smith, Ark.; Eads T. Blocker, Costa Rica, C.A. One other son, Frank Blocker, died a few years ago.
Besides her children, Mrs. Blocker is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lizzie W. Mitchell of Los Angeles, Calif., and two brothers, John Ware of near New Orleans and Robert Ware of Fort Worth.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, services conducted by Rev. W.T. Renfro of the First Methodist church.
Interment in Algoma Burial Park.
