Richard Warden, 56, 600 1/2 N. Washington St. died at 10:45 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for two days. He had been in failing health since 1958.
Born March 22, 1917, near Russiaville, he was the son of Pearl and Nettie (Turner) Warden. He was married Dec. 2, 1936 to Grace Merrill, who survives.
He had been a truck driver.
Also surviving are the father of Russiaville; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Susie) Mann of Russiaville; three brothers, Lowell Warden of Russiaville, Raymond Warden of Kokomo and Billy Warden of San Diego, Ca., a brother preceeded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville, with the Rev. Fredrick Bunts officiating. Burial will be in Russiaville cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
