"Robert Ward and Ollie Ward of Reno, Nevada and sister, Mrs. Cora Sweetland of Carson City, Nevada were in town Friday and were renewing acquaintances here where they had been born and reared. They had been called to Placerville by the death of their sister, Mrs. Ida G. Bailey, who passed away at the Placerville Sanitorium early Thursday morning. Mrs. Bailey, 80, was also a native of Georgetown and their parents were among the pioneers of this vicinity. Mrs. Bailey was one of several Native Daughters of the Golden West of Placerville who came over to help institute and install the officers of El Dorado Parlor No. 186 N.D.G.W. May 16, 1910. She was also a member of Placerville Rebekahs and O.E.S Chapter. Funeral services were held at Memory Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment at Union Cemetery."

"Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Memory Chapel for Mrs. Id Gertrude Bailey, 80, native of Georgetown and for most of her life resident of El Dorado County.
The Rev. P.B. Burleigh, pastor of the Federated Church, officiated. Interment was at Union Cemetery beside the grave of her late husband John J. Bailey.
Mrs. Bailey passed away Thursday morning of last week. Her health had broken some months previously but it was only a few days before her passing that hse was hospitalized.
She had been a member many years in Fallen Leaf Chapter No. 90, O.E.S., Leona Rebekah Lodge No. 30, I.O.O.F and Marguerite Parlor No 12 N.D.G.W (Native Daughters of the Golden West), all of this city.

Mrs. Bailey was the mother of Frank E. Ewert, of San Francisco; Eldo T. Ewert, of Oakland; and the late Arthur Ewert of Butte, Montana; the sister of Robert and T.O. Ward of Reno; Mrs . Cora Sweetland of Carson City; the late Henry Ward (FG# 84623105) of Georgetown and the late Mrs. Grace Lemon of Reno.
Several nephews and nieces also survive her."
