EDENTON - Joyce Ward Rea Martin McCarter, 60, of Cypress Drive, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000.
Mrs. McCarter was a retail manager with the Pantry and she was a member of Landis Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Rea Foster of China Grove, N.C.; four sons, Carl J. Rea Jr., Marvin Aubrey Rea, Ronald Edward Rea, all of Edenton, and David Lee Rea of Kannapolis, N.C.; two brothers, Albert Ward and Robert Wiley, both of Edenton; a sister, Evelyn Ward White of Mooresville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today in Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Biggs officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, with the Rev. Carl Settle officiating. Memorials may be made to Albemarle Hospice, P.O. Box 189, Elizabeth City, N.C. 27907-0189, attention: Rhonda Wentz.
