Catherine Ann (Ward) Cox was born in 1930.

She was married about 1948 to William A "Bill" Cox Jr (1927– ).

Catherine served as a church organist for 23 years at Two Rivers Baptist Church, 2 years at Alta Loma Baptist Church, 5 years at First Baptist Church, Donelson and for 17 years at Triune Baptist Church.

As a member of the Nashville Piano Teachers Guild, Catherine taught music for 40 years to many students. She was also active in her local church ministry opportunities, and she provided music for numerous weddings and funerals and accompanied her husband Bill in revivals, concerts, programs and on his albums and CD's.

A resident of Mufreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee, she was 83 years old and married when she passed away on March 16, 2014.

Survivors included her husband, two married daughters, four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.

Celebration of Life Services were held at Triune Baptist Church in Arrington, Tennessee, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
