Ethel Ward Gossard, wife of Dr. J. Earl Gossard of 625 Mariposa Ave., Sierra Madre, passed away Jan. 3, 1961. A native of Huntsville, Ill., she had been a resident of this area 31 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, J. Earl Gossard Jr. of Pomona, Mrs. Paul Haynes of Pasadena, Mrs. Rulon Smith of Malibu, Mrs. John Gaylord of San Anselmo, Calif., and John R. Gossard of Torrance; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Verna O. Ward of Riverside, Ill. And Mrs. W. W. Grainger of Hinsdale, Ill., also one brother, J.W. Ward of Austin, Ill.
Services 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Methodist Church of Sierra Madre, 695 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. The Rev. Frank Toothaker and Dr. Chilton C. McPheeters officiating. Interment Rose Hills Memorial Park.
