Annie B. Colten, 98, of Friends Boarding Home, Kennett, formerly of Cochranville, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital.
She was the wife of the late B. Frank Colten who passed away on Jan. 12, 1986.
She was born in Sadsbury Twp., daughter of the late Oliver T., and Sarah E. (Strickland) Walton.
She was a member of Faggs Manor Presbyterian Church.
Annie was a teacher at the former Cooperville Country School for 14 years, former Sunnyside School in Penn Twp., for two years and then at the Kemblesville Elementary School for 18 years, retiring in 1973.
She was a graduate of Coatesville High School, class of 1927, and Elizabethtown College, class of 1930.
She was a member of the Faggs Manor Ladies Organization, Penn Area Branch Auxiliary of the Southern Chester County Hospital, Chester County Retired School Employees Association, the Pa. Association of School Retirees, N.R.T.A., Kennett Square Senior Citizens and the Chester/Delaware Farmers Association.
Surviving is a daughter, Donna E. Colten of Lancaster.
