SAMUEL WALTON, born Dec. 28, 1772, died July 27, 1843, son of 180 Moses Walton & Eunice Rogers of Frederick Co., Va., married 12.6.1797 at Crooked Run Mtg, when he was of Shanandoah Co., Sarah McKay, born 1773, died Apr. 19, 1847, daughter of Jacob McKay & Rachel Ridgeway of Frederick Co. This is from Hopewell Friends History, 3818 Morgan Lauck Walton and John Alexander Kelly. None of Samuel's children are named as such in the history, but each of the other two sources names the five below. Possibly this was the Samuel mentioned in the will of 63 Alice Walton Phillips. His name is on four Crooked Run marriage certificates of 1792, 1793 and 1794. On his own certificate other Walton signers were Moses, Edward and Eunice. He was disowned 4.3.1809 by Hopewell Mtg for having accepted an office in military service, purchased a slave and administered oaths. The five children:
