Doris Jane Walsh, 65, 386 Pine St., Butler, died Tuesday, November 11, 2003 in the Life Care Center, Elizabethton, following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of Christine Pierce Oliver, Butler, and the late Will Oliver.
She, along with her husband, operated the Lakecrest Service Station and later owned and operated Jake's Service Station of Butler.
She was a member of Cobbs Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband of 49 years, J.L. "Jake" Walsh; a daughter and son-in-law, a son, three grandchildren, seven brothers, and one sister. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alan Koch and Rev. Bruce Simcox officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2003 in Butler Memorial Cemetery.
