Mrs. Lola WALLER GRAY, 81, died Saturday evening at the home of her son, Howard GRAY, in Vicksburg, Miss. Mrs. Gray, who resided at 706 Fulton avenue, Rochester, succumbed to a heart attack.
Born Nov. 18, 1876, in Farmer City, Ill., she had resided in this city about nine years. She previously had lived near Fulton for over 40 years, moving there from Benton county.
She was married Dec. 18, 1901, at Fowler, to Ancel Clark GRAY, who died in June, 1957. Her parents were David A. and Amanda OFTEDINGER WALLER.
Mrs. Gray was a member of the Fulton E.U.B. church.
Surviving are the son, Howard, one daughter, Mrs. Fern SCOTT, Detroit; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Warren (Martha) SMITH, Rochester; one brother, Emerson WALLER, Fowler. Six brothers and one sister, Mrs. Archibald (Maude) BROWN of Rochester, preceded her in death. Mrs. Ernest D. BONINE of Rochester is a niece of Mrs. Gray.
Rites will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Fremont WILLMERT officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
