Katie Jean (Walkup) Anderson, 78, Stonewall OK, died on August 17, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1933, in Clarita OK to Edward Leo and Etheleen Savanah Guynes Walkup. She graduated from Clarita High School. She married John Heas Anderson on January 5, 1954; he preceded her in death on May 30, 1996. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and also had worked at the Stonewall Senior Citizens Site, volunteered at Carl Albert Indian Hospital, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was of the Baptist faith and had formerly been a member of the First Baptist Church of Del City.
Survivors include her sons John E. Anderson of Ada, and Donald A. Anderson of Stonewall; daughter Kelli Reneé Gay of Raymore MO; sisters Shirley Noe of Ada and Carolyn Knight of Florida; brothers Paul Walkup and Jerry Walkup of Ada, and Danny Walkup of Moore OK; grandchildren Megan Guinn of Abilene TX, Shayna Stone of Stonewall, Danyelle Anderson of Dallas TX, Colton Anderson, Torri Anderson and Hayley Anderson, all of Stonewall, and Tyler Gay of Raymore MO; and great grandchildren Kannon Stone and Kase Stone, both of Stonewall, Ava Guinn of Abilene TX, and Lawson Mize of Stonewall.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold Walkup, Richard Walkup, and J. E. Walkup; and sisters, Ann Humes, Betty Walkup, and Billye Walkup.
