Mrs. Lyda Inola Basham, 89 years old of Alma, Arkansas died Friday, June 9, 1967 in a local rest home. She was born September 18, 1886 in Mountainburg, Arkansas and was the daughter of John and Ada (O'Bryant) Walker. She had been a member of the Mountain View Methodist church for more than 70 years.
Survivors are her husband, Nathaniel T. Basham; a son, Reeves of Fort Smith; two daughters, Erma of Covina, California and Lela of Alma; a brother, Virgil of Alma; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Methodist church with the pastor M.C. Bevens officiating assisted by Rupert Pixley. Burial in Gracelawn was directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
