Carl Walker Dies at Williamsport

Williamsport---Carl Walker, 78, retired farmer and carpenter, died early Sunday morning at Wlliamsport after a one-year illness.

Born March 15, 1881, he was the son of Curtis and Elizabeth Walker. He was married to Cora Livengood in January 1910.

Mr. Walker lived near Waynetown in his early life. He was a member of the Christian Church at Williamsport.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. [H]ester Darling of Detroit and Mrs. Kathryn Fenters of near Williamsport and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Williamsport. Graveside rites will be held at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

Williamsport - Carl A. Walker, 78, a retired carpenter , died at 5 a.m. Sunday in Community hospital where he was a patient one day. He had been in failing health several months.

Born in Fountain county, he lived in the Williamsport community for 35 years and was married to Cora Mae Livengood in 1910. He was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Richard Darling of Detroit and Mrs. Oran Fenters of Attica R. 2; two brothers, Dr. J. L. Walker of La Fontaine and Sam B. Walker of Kansas City, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Eura Cowan of Steffner, Fla., and Mrs.. Adele Fowler of Indianapolis.
