Chauncey Depew Walker was the youngest child of the eight born to Alva Sikes Walker and Abbie Sophia Stebbins Walker.

Corporal Chauncey D. Walker reported in the list as dead of wounds and whose address is given as Belchertown, NY is probably Corp. Chauncey D. Walker of Belchertown, Mass., a member of Co. G of the 104th regiment. Corporal Walker's relatives have been notified of his death by the war department. .......
Corporal Walker died in an American base hospital in France July 24, death resulting from wounds received at the front. His mother, Mrs. Abbie Walker of Belchertown, has received a telegram to this effect from the war department. Corporal Walker had been wounded several times, he received the hurt from which he died May 29. He enlisted in Co. G. in Feb. 1917. He used to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Albert Cady of 32 Church St., West Springfield, Before enlisting he had been employed as a farm hand on various farms near this city.
