OBITUARY
Lucian S. Walker, 58, 602 Longview Drive, Lexington, died unexpectedly at 10:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, in McCreary County. He was a native of Jessamine County, and a son of the late John Walker and Mrs. Vina Dean Walker, of Nicholasville. He was a World War II veteran and an employee of Kerns Bakery for 18 years.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Wilson Walker, Lexington; two brothers, Paul and Johnny Walker, both of Jessamine County; six sisters, Mrs. Edward McQuerry, Mrs. Clellie Burch, Mrs. Georgia Teater, Mrs. Frank Corman, all of Jessamine County; Mrs. W.H. Wade, Nicholasville, and Mrs. James E. Shirley, of Monroe, N.C.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Guyn, Kurtz and Hager Funeral Home by the Rev. W.J. Arvin and the Rev. Virgil Wilson. Burial was in the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County. Bearers were L.R. Bryant, Sr., Orlie Boggs, Glen Wilson, Cornelius Wilson, Carter L. Peel and Merrill Teater.
