Commonwealth Reporter, Fri. Dec. 19, 1947, p. 22:3. FARM RESIDENT EXPIRES; BURIAL RITES PLANNED. Mrs. Joseph Walgenbach Dies At Hospital; Ill For Several Weeks. Mrs. Mathilda Walgenbach, 61, wife of Joseph N. Walgenbach, Route 2, died at 5:40 p.m. Thursday at St. Agnes hospital after several weeks illness. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Geo. M. Dugan funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary cchurch, with burial in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Walgenbach was born May 16, 1886, at Neosho, the daughter of Mathias and Angeline Brill Heintz, and on Jan. 30, 1912, was married in St. Mary church in this city. She was a member of the Altar society of the church. Besides her widower, Mrs. Walgenbach leaves five children, Roma and Genevieve, at home; Mrs. Sedonia E. Shubert, Long Beach Calif., Joseph L., at home and Eugene A. Walgenbach, a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; four grandchildren, Donna Louise and Stephen Shubert, Long Beach, Thomas Walgenbach, Madison, and Jeanne Walgenbach, city; three brothers, George Heintz, Detroit, Ed Heintz, Milwaukee, and Benjamin Heintz, Marshfield, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Hoffman, Pt. Edwards. Three sons preceded Mrs. Walgenbach in death.

Dugan funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary church, the Rev. Robert Kircher officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Schmitz, Joseph and Alois Steffes, John Feyen, Clarence Jagdfeld and Donald Shea. Attending the services from away were Eugene Walgenbach, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Don Shubert, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Clara Jenkins, Benjamin Heintz, Mrs. Rose Hoffman, Mrs. Raymond Wiegel and Edward Heintz, Marshfield, and Mrs. William Huberty, Milwaukee.
